OmniSTAR

OmniSTAR is a global provider of DGPS correction data satellite and is part of Trimble Group.

OmniSTAR offers commercial DGPS services worldwide through satellite. The OmniSTAR services OmniSTAR VBS ( " Virtual Base Station" - virtual base station), OmniSTAR HP ( "High Performance" - high performance) and OmniSTAR XP ( " Extended Performance " - extended performance ) were specifically developed to meet the need for accurate positioning systems and the related services to cater for land-based applications. OmniSTAR has approximately 100 reference stations, 6 high performance satellites and 2 network control centers for the global network.

The data services OmniSTAR VBS and HP / XP transfer data at L-band through a network of geostationary satellites. Receipt of this data can be subscribed to. The services are unique in the sense that they automatically deploy on the user's location through a network the optimal position solution. The determination of differential corrections based on a network solution is more accurate and reliable than their determination with a single GPS reference station.

OmniSTAR VBS

In OmniSTAR VBS is a single-frequency DGPS service, in which the error of the GPS signal by atmospheric and temporal influences and inaccuracies of the orbit with the help of a network of reference stations (or base stations ) are measured and reduced.

OmniSTAR-HP/XP

OmniSTAR-HP/XP is the latest dual-frequency GPS enhancement solution within the OmniSTAR family of high-performance services. OmniSTAR-HP/XP permitted by the use of two independent positioning technologies in the decimeter accuracy.
