On Stranger Tides
In Stranger Tides (organic Title: On Stranger Tides ) is a published in November 1988 historical fantasy novel by Tim Powers. The book was nominated for both the World Fantasy Award and for the Locus Award.
Action
The novel takes place in 1718, during the period in which Blackbeard ( Blackbeard ) terrorized the Caribbean and King George offers the forehead. The plot follows the exploits of John " Jack Shandy " Chandagnac, who travels to the new world after the death of his father, a puppeteer. There, John wants to stop his cheating uncle it to make off with the family inheritance.

In January 2010, Disney announced that the film would be published on 20 May 2011. On March 22, 2010 Jerry Bruckheimer confirmed that both Barbossa and Blackbeard would occur in the film, with Blackbeard as the villain. Blackbeard played by Ian McShane and Penelope Cruz took over the role of Blackbeard's daughter Angelica, who does not appear in the novel. In the film come, as in the book, even zombies before.
