On-the-fly encryption

On- the-fly encryption ( OTFE ) is used as a term for transparent disk encryption. In this case, an encrypted file or partition is decrypted by entering the key and placed as a normal folder or drive for the user are available. The advantage is primarily the ease of use, because not every file must be individually encrypted and decryption can be connected, for example, with the application on the computer or plugging in a USB stick.
