On the Night is a live album by British rock band Dire Straits. It was released in May 1993 as a result of the last major tour before the members of the band mid -1990s, went their separate ways.

Creation and publication

On the tour to On Every Street 1992 recordings of a total of three appearances in the Arena of Nîmes and in the Feyenoord Stadium in Rotterdam were made and mixed by Neil Dorfsman at London's AIR Studios to an album in May. There also appeared an edition with the live EP Encores as a bonus CD. These pieces were also included on the video version of the album.

Although On the Night was a chart success, however, the live album was also criticized for his uninteresting performance and in particular for a long, monotonous guitar solos.
