Ondřej Soukup

Ondřej Soukup ( born 2 May 1951 in Prague, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech musician and composer.

Biography

Ondřej Soukup closed in 1975 to study music at the Prague Conservatory. Then he played as a bassist in several bands and ensembles, including at Pražský výběr with Pavel Fořt. Later he composed for Karel Gott, before he made his debut in 1984 with the staging of the Resident Vít Olm chess as a film composer. Soukup was a total of six times for the Czech film prize, the Bohemian lion, nominated, where he was honored for Nejasná zpráva o konci sveta and Dark Blue World.

Soukup is married to actress Gabriela Osvaldová. Both have a son, the musician František Soukup.
