One hour run

The hours of operation is a long distance discipline in athletics at the stadium as many rounds have to be covered within one hour. It is often played in the present as fun run event - modified as a half hour run and as a couple hour drive (only one needs to be running is changed arbitrarily ).

As the hours of operation will be performed as a world record by the International Association of Athletics Federations ( IAAF), he also significant in high-performance sports.

The rounds were used to count either of judges or participants in open races they counted on trust itself In the latter method a " pilot Runner" was used, which ran an average velocity and the rounds were counted by judges. The other runners had only the ( relatively small ) number of lapping to count, which reduced the risk of Verzählens.

More recently, the runner transponder chips carry on the boot or in the start number with which each passage is automatically measured by an electronic counter, so that only the number of meters of the last, unfinished round must be added.
