One Pound Fish Man
Muhammad Shahid Nazir (* 1981 in Pattoki, Punjab ), known as the One Pound Fish Man ( also £ 1 Fish Man written ), is a Pakistani fishmonger from London who is known for his songs market.
Career
Nazir worked in his home in the family's own transport company. With a student visa, he went to Britain, where he worked as a fish seller at the Queen 's Market in London. A passer-by filmed Nazir, as this singing his fish was peddling, and uploaded the video in April 2012 on the Internet platform YouTube. Since then, it has been about ten million times clicked (as of 1 January 2013).
With his song One Pound Fish he applied for the ninth season of the talent show The X Factor, but not qualified for the boot camp. In November 2012, he received a recording contract from Warner Music and there was a dance version of One Pound Fish in the Bollywood style. It was published on 9 December, reaching up to Christmas # 28 in the UK charts. Nazir even had to go back on holidays in his home after his stay visa had expired.
