One True Thing

Family Affair is an American film drama directed by Carl Franklin from the year 1998. Arose from a novel by Anna Quindlen.

Action

The film begins with a brief flashback to the youth of the protagonist Ellen Gulden. In it we learn that the father places a lot of emphasis on literary education, the mother, however, does not take much for sure. It is obvious that Ellen rather emulate their father than their mother. The next day, Ellen learns of her father, but that her mother Kate is suffering from cancer. Her father puts her close to give up her job and to take care of her mother. Ellen experienced great internal struggles, as the decision could mean the end of their career. Your boss offers her a promotion because he believes the stories about her dying mother had a disguised request. Ellen is horrified. Then she decided reluctantly to return to the small town. Now Ellen receives insights into the daily lives of her mother with the simultaneous krankheitsbedingrten expiration thereof.
