One (U2 song)

One is a song by Irish rock band U2. It is the third track from the album Achtung Baby and was released in March 1992 as the third single of the album. During the recording of the album Achtung Baby considerable tension between the band members on the future direction of the music of U2 and the quality of the downloaded material, as such, represented a future of the band in question originated. Through a simple, tried by guitarist The Edge chord progression the band was musically together again and began re inspired to develop the song One from it.
The text, written by lead singer Bono, tells of the difficulties to maintain relationships with other people, but is often also interpreted differently.
In 2004, one was selected at number 36 of the 500 best songs of all time by Rolling Stone.
