Ong Poh Lim

Ong Poh Lim ( born November 18, 1921 in Kuching, † 17 April 2003 in Singapore ) was a badminton player from Singapore. Lim was one of the greatest badminton player of the 1950s.

Career

Ong Poh Lim won with the Malaysian team the first edition of the World Championship for Men teams, the. Thomas Cup in season 1948/49,

For the finale, he went with his seven teammates Chan Kon Leong, Law Teik Hock, Teoh Seng Khoon, Ooi Teik Hock, Yeoh Teck Chye, Lim Kee Fong, Wong Peng Soon and the nichtspielendem Captain Lim Chuan Geok in December 1948 on a 25 - day boat trip to the United Kingdom, where the Malays were first confronted with a European winter.
