Onyanko Club

Onyanko Club (Japaneseお ニャン 子 クラブ, Onyanko Kurabu, dt "Kitten Club" ) was a Japanese J-pop band that existed between 1985 to 1987. It consisted solely of students. By means of a casting were initially selected weekly new members in the band.

Two weeks after her debut appearance on the show Yuyake Nyan - Nyan (夕やけ ニャンニャン, literally: " Meow - Meow in the Abenddämerung " ) published the magazine Shukan Bunshun Photos of Mika Okuda, Michiko Enokida, Kayoko Yoshino, Aki Kihara, Mamiko Tomoda and Mayumi Satō as they smoked in a coffee shop, triggering the Shukan Bunshun - smoke incident (周刊 文 春 吃 烟 事件, Shukan Bunshun kitsuen jiken ) from. Since, according to Japanese law minors (ie under 20 years ) are not allowed to smoke, they had to leave the band on 25 April 1985. Kihara was, however, recorded a few days later.

Subgroups

Ushiroyubi Sasaregumi

Ushiroyubi Sasaregumi (うしろゆびさされ組) was the first subgroup with Mamiko Takai and Yukiko Iwai (aka " Yuyu "). From 1985 to 1987, they have released six singles and three albums.

Nyangilas

Nyangilas (ニャンギラス, Nyangirasu ) was the second of three offshoot groups within Onyanko Club. Nyangilas there were only short, there were two singles and one album released. It consisted of the members Aki Kihara (6 ), Mika Nagoya (9 ), Rika Tatsumi (15 ), and Mako Shiraishi (22).

Ushirogami Hikaretai

Ushirogami Hikaretai (うしろ髪ひかれ隊) consisted of the members Akiko Ikuina Shizuka Kudo and Makiko Saito. Published 5 were singles and two studio albums and a live album in 1987 and 1988.
