Onyekachi Okonkwo

Onyekachi Donatus ' Tico ' Okonkwo ( born May 13, 1982 in Aba ) is a Nigerian football player.

Career

His career began in the defensive midfielder for the Nigerian first division club FC Enyimba, with whom he won the CAF Champions League 2003 and 2004.

From 2005 to 2007 Tico played at the tip of South African club Orlando Pirates in Johannesburg.

On 26 June 2007, the 1st FC Cologne announced him as a newcomer. On 2 July 2007 he signed, however, a four-year contract with FC Zurich. The German second division had announced that he was no longer interested in Okonkwo in these circumstances.

In 2008 he was in the squad of Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations, but did not play.

In summer 2010, he moved to Qatar to Al- Kharitiyath Sports Club.
