Oospore

As oospores (from the Greek oo = egg and spora = seed ) dated the zygotes ( fertilized oogonia ) referred to in algae and certain fungi.

A Oospore occurs when a woman's egg is fertilized within the gametangium from a male sperm cell. The result is a zygote, which significantly thickened cell wall.

Oospores are not very sensitive to environmental fluctuations. They tolerate wide variations in temperature and desiccation, and are still viable even after many years. The oospores of algae sink to the river bottom or drifted. So this can also be spread to relatively distant places and resettle there.
