The Opel Agila ( " turned " from Latin agilis, " agile" ) is a minivan model and nominally the smallest series of the manufacturer Opel. The Agila is indeed significantly shorter than the Corsa from the same manufacturer, taking into account all three main dimensions (length, width, height) but approximately the same size as this, just proportioned differently. The current version of the Agila ( Agila B) is a common badge engineering with the Suzuki Splash.
The first-generation Agila ( Agila A) was prepared from summer 2000 to autumn 2007. The successor of Agila B, which can be referred only to a limited extent as Van or Microvan due to its significantly reduced height -to-length ratio is offered since spring 2008.

Opel Agila A (2000-2003)
The good 3.5m long Agila A minivan was down to the petrol engines and chassis tuning identical to the previous Suzuki Wagon R and was in Gliwice, Poland ( Gliwice ) was built. Basis for the Agila was the study Concept -A of 1999.

The successor of Agila A, Agila B, was first presented at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt in 2007. The launch was in April 2008.
As with the previous model, there was a collaboration between Opel and Suzuki, whose variant is called Splash. The Agila is produced as well as the splash at Magyar Suzuki Zrt. in Esztergom (Hungary).
The Opel Agila grew during the model change to 3.74 m in length ( 20 cm), 1.68 m in width ( 6 cm) and shrank to 1.59 m in height ( - 7 cm), making it is significantly elongated than its predecessor and thus also acts dynamic. The boot holds 225 liters or a standard stroller, but can be expanded by folding down the rear-seat backrest up to 1050 liters. The tank holds 45 liters, the turning circle is 9.6 meters "from curb -to-curb " and 10 meters " from wall to wall ." Factory a few extras can be ordered. Only one ESP with traction control TCSS ( Traction Control Support System) and an MP3 -compatible CD radio are available at extra cost. Besides the two colors White and Real Red Galaxy other finishes cost extra and / or are only possible for the model Edition
Additional comfort and head airbags as an extra also only really safe of about 3000 euros more expensive Agila Edition: A height- adjustable steering column, remote central locking, air conditioning, electric front windows, electrically adjustable and heated mirrors, fog lights, tachometer, trip computer, MP3 - CD Radio and the 1/3 to 2/3 split rear seat back. As standard, the Opel Agila with ABS incl brake assist, decouples security pedals ( PRS Pedal Release System) and front and side airbags fitted. Additional head curtain airbags are available only in much more expensive model Agila Edition as an extra. ESP with traction control TCSS, however, can also be ordered for the basic model. The identical Suzuki Splash ( from 2008), 2004 Euro NCAP crash test in the evaluation of occupant protection with 30 points four stars out of five, with the occupant safety for children 32 points and therefore three stars of max. and five with 19 points (up to 36 ) in the evaluation of pedestrian safety three out of four stars.
The Agila was offered with two petrol and one diesel engine. The two gasoline engines, Suzuki. Since February 2010 Opel Agila offers with ( LPG) LPG drive than 1.0 LPG ecoFLEX and 1.2 LPG ecoFLEX on.
