Opel Ascona

The Opel Ascona denotes the automobile middle class of Opel 1970-1988. Ascona The name comes from the same village on Lake Maggiore in the Italian-speaking Switzerland.

By the late 1950s some special models of the Olympia Rekord P1 were called Ascona in Switzerland. In addition, there was the late 1960s, a special trim level of the Kadett B as Ascona 1700 in Switzerland.

Successor to the Opel Ascona is the Opel Vectra.
