Model history
With the Opel Cascada offers after the convertible version of the Astra H ( Retractable ) - from the original Astra J there is no open model - again a cabriolet. It has most recently the Astra G Cabriolet soft top, which now can be opened not only in the state with the handbrake on, but also up to a speed of 50 km / hr. The name is derived from cascade and original cascare (Italian for " fall ").
The Cascada is a stand-alone model which, although based on the chassis of the Astra J, but bears significant parts of the art of the larger Insignia compared to its predecessors. According to Opel Astra is on the body no part to find and nothing is identical with the Astra.
