Open Source Press

Open Source Press is established as an independent trade book publisher in 2003, computer book publisher based in Munich.

The publisher sells its books in both classical book form, as well as a digital e-books and specializes in Linux and open source software and is designed for administrators, programmers and users. The publisher publishes books both in German and in English. Some books have since been released as free open-books, as, inter alia, the translation of the work " Free Culture " of the law professor Lawrence Lessig, who must be counted among the masterminds of the Creative Commons. Open Source Press faces, her own, in an amount of commitment to the open source community to provide and help to recognize particular open source more. So the publisher sponsored occasion FrOSCon 2009, a publication of a free documentation in book form.
