Open Water 2: Adrift

Open Water 2 (Original Open Water 2: Adrift ) is a thriller with Susan May Pratt, Richard Speight Jr., Niklaus Lange, Ali Hillis, Cameron Richardson and Eric Dane. Location was Malta.

For marketing reasons, the illusion of a sequel to Open Water was created, but the film is not of the same producers, but has the same basic idea of survival in the water in a seemingly hopeless situation. The plot is based, according to the production on a true story.

Action

A group of old high school friends - Amy and James, Zach, Lauren, Dan and his new girlfriend Michelle - at the weekend with the yacht of Dan's head to the open sea. Amy and James bring with them their baby Sara. Dan has arranged a weekend away and pretends that the expensive yacht belonged to him.

After sunbathing jump James, Zach, Lauren and Michelle for swimming in the sea. Amy suffers from aqua phobia, since she saw her father drown while swimming as a child. However, Dan lifts her up and jumps with her into the water, in the hope that they their fear of the water thereby overcomes. Amy is paralyzed by their fear and in the following hassle is clear that no one had let down the swim ladder.
