OpenGL Utility Library

OpenGL utility library ( GLU) is a graphics library. Sitting up on OpenGL GLU provides graphics functions of higher level. It is part of the OpenGL package.

There are three major implementations of GLU:

  • Mesa GLU, GLU implements 1.2 and was abandoned in favor of Mesa SGI GLU
  • Containing GLU in Microsoft Windows, implemented GLU 1.2
  • SGI GLU, GLU 1.3 implemented
