OpenSSO

The Open Web Single Sign-On Project (short: OpenSSO ) is a system developed by Sun Microsystems tool for managing a unified logons for different applications and Java applications ( identity management with single sign -on ). The open source software has its origins in the commercial Sun Java System Access Manager product, which is now marketed as OpenSSO Enterprise. The software is subject to the Common Development and Distribution License ( CDDL ).

After the purchase of Sun by Oracle no longer wished to sell the commercial version of OpenSSO medium latter company announced, but instead to put management product on their own Web Access.

With the company's Forge rock a provider has found that intends to further develop the product under the name OpenAM and offering support.
