Operation Resurrection

The Opération Résurrection was a project of the French military to overthrow the government of the Fourth Republic.

After the French coup in Algeria on 13 May 1958, the island of Corsica was taken possession of on May 24 by a paratrooper battalion. In a second phase was planned, with airborne troops and armored units in Paris to take power and to use Charles de Gaulle as Minister -President.

After de Gaulle was nominated on June 1, 1958 Prime Minister by the President René Coty, the military action did not take place in Paris.
