Opernloft

The Opernloft is a stage in Hamburg, whose aim is to facilitate entry into the genre of opera children, teenagers and opera newcomers. The name Opernloft results from the (Opera) and the original program location in a converted factory floor, so a loft.

History

2002 Yvonne founded Bernbom and sinking Rahardt the Young Music Theater Hamburg as a non-profit organization. The sample stage of the boy musical theater in Hamburg in the Eilbeker Conventstraße was rebuilt in 2007 to the first own venue with about 100 seats and opened as Opernloft. In the summer of 2010, the Opernloft moved to the former press hall of the Axel Springer Verlag on the Fuhlentwiete 7 in the center of Hamburg. In the favorite songs lounge in the foyer of Opernloft see recitals with young singers instead.

The Opernloft plays modern music theater for children, adolescents and adults. It is the only Hamburg opera house, opera for beginners is specially there. Expression of this orientation on users and young people are formats like OperaBreve ( abridged operas), Electr'Opera ( mixture of classical electronic music ) and operas for children ( for newcomers to the e- music). None of the performances will take longer than one to one and a half hours.

• 2008 Feline boy was honored for her portrayal of Carmen in the eponymous opera by Rolf- Mares- price.
• 2009 was Claudia wine hard for her stage image of the pearl fishers also the Rolf- Mares- price.
• 2009, the Opernloft excellent place of Germany Initiative - Land of Ideas.
• 2010 Opernloft was awarded the donated by ExxonMobil Pegasus Prize for Hamburg private theater.
• 2010, the director sinking Rahardt was recognized for her production of GFHändels " Tolomeo " the Rolf Mares price.
