The OP: L Bastards were a Finnish band from Helsinki, which was founded by Timo Kaukolampi, Mikko Viljakainen and Tuomo Puranas. The original name of the group was " Opel Bastards ", but the Adam Opel AG demanded because of the held by their rights to the brand name " Opel " a name change.
The music of OP: L Bastards is electronic, very influenced in large part by the sound of home computer music of the late 1980s and early 1990s - especially tracks like Sagittarius and Scorpius are very reminiscent on the Commodore Amiga produced sound. In addition, influences from the New Wave of the 80 are present. The music is associated with many of the electroclash.
