Optic vesicle

As optic vesicle or vesicle optica is called the paired protuberance of the first brain vesicle (later diencephalon ), resulting from the after invagination ( optic cup formation), the retina and the pigment epithelium of the eye, while the optic vesicle stalk (later optic cup handle ) returns the optic nerve. The cupping sets after formation of the lens placode ( lens system) on or induced by the lens. Here, the front cup rim is to the pupil. Choroid ( choroidal ), sclera ( sclera ) and cornea ( cornea) arise from the mesenchyme of the head region.
