Optical Network Unit

An optical network unit and optical network unit (ONU ) is in communication technology of the network terminating an optical cable.

The ONU is installed, depending on the built-up HYTAS technology in street cabinets, building, or of the subscriber where it sets the fiber optic network of a telephone network operator to the local installation wiring of the operator, which is usually carried out with twisted-pair cable to connect.
