Oquitoa

Oquitoa is a village in the Mexican state of Sonora with 411 inhabitants and administrative center of the municipality Oquitoa. It is in the northwest of Sonora between Atil, Trincheras and the altar.

History

1689, the village was founded under the name of San Antonio de Oquitoa. Founder to have been the Jesuit missionary Eusebio Kino.
