Ora (currency)

Ora is the name of the currency of Orania, a quasi- autonomous Buren Township in South Africa.

To express the right to self-determination, in 2004 Ora banknotes were first issued. Even if the currency is not recognized by any country except Orania, the South African Reserve Bank decided not to sanction them.

There are vouchers worth 10, 20, 50 and 100 Ora. The 10 - Ora- score represents the history of the Afrikaners, the 20-franc note their art, culture, and of the 50 100 - Ora Orania bill itself
