Oranienburger Tor (Berlin U-Bahn)

The underground station Oranienburger Tor is a station of the metro line 6 in the Berlin district of Mitte. He is 4.90 meters below the Friedrichstrasse at the height of Claire- Waldoff Street. It was built in 1915 to a design by Alfred Grenander and opened on 30 January 1923. In the BVG he is led under the symbol Ob. The station is wheelchair accessible with a lift to Oranienburger Strasse.

From April to June 1945, the station was closed due to war damage. From 13 August 1961 to July 1, 1990, he was a so-called " ghost station ", the subway stopped only at the Friedrichstrasse.

The station is a simple Mittelsteighütte station, which is decorated in white, the station signs wearing a blue border. He is a listed building.
