Oranjemund, with 8,451 inhabitants in an area of 4,278 square kilometers, is the smallest of six constituencies in the region südnamibischen ǁ Karas. It essentially comprises the northern reaches of the Orange River, thus forming a region bordering the Republic of South Africa. The county administration is located in the eponymous town of Oranjemund.

The circle Oranjemund also includes the villages of Rosh Pinah, Witputz and Sendelingsdrift. A road to Keetmanshoop and Lüderitz performs the Huns Mountains and the Fish River Canyon. On the other side of the river are Alexander Bay and the Richtersveld National Park.
