Organization

The team was founded under the name Orbea in 2005 and since then has an UCI Continental Team license as. It is mainly engaged in the race of UCI Europe Tour. Manager of the team is Roméo Jesús Aizkorbe. Title sponsor for the 2012 season was to the bike manufacturer Orbea, which already supported several cycling teams in the past that bore his name. The first licensed team was founded in 1932. Since 2013, the team is called Euskadi (Basque for Basque Country ).

The team was considered a farm team of the end of the season defunct team Euskaltel -Euskadi, which until 2012 as well as this team by the Fundación de Ciclista Euskadi (Spanish: Cycling Foundation Euskadi ) was operated.
