Order of Merit of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

The Merit of the State of Mecklenburg- Vorpommern is the highest order of merit, the Mecklenburg -Vorpommern awards. It was created by the Law on the Order of Merit of the Federal State of Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( MV LOrdensG ) on 23 April 2001 and first awarded on June 1, 2002. The ceremony will be held by the Prime Minister " in recognition of outstanding service to the state of Mecklenburg -Vorpommern and its population ". Nominations can be made the Prime Minister, the President of the Parliament and for their business, the members of the government. With suggestions for Order of Merit may write to the proposal entitled, however, everyone. If it appears that an order carrier by its conduct the ceremony or unworthy of such behavior is known afterwards, the Prime Minister may revoke the award.

Order decoration

The religious character has the shape of a cross with concave wings in the national colors of red with gold trim. The centerpiece is a round, gold medallion, which has on the front of the large coat of arms. The reverse bears in the center the inscription " For merits " and the name " Mecklenburg -Vorpommern".
