Order of Saint-Charles

The Order of St. Charles was born on March 15, 1858 by Prince Charles III. donated by Monaco and to reward services that are rendered to the princes and the state. Foreigners can thus be excellent.

Order decoration

The medal decoration consists of a white enameled Maltese Cross with gold-rimmed red trim and golden balls on the eight tips. The medallion on a red field contains a gold CC under the crown and is surrounded by a gold-rimmed white frost which contains the inscription Princeps et Patria ( Prince and Fatherland).

On the back of the medallion shows the royal coat of arms that Juvante of the inscription Deo ( God willing ) is surrounded. In the angles of a golden laurel wreath with green leaves and red fruits appear. There is a golden crown above the cross.

Carrying fashion and ribbon

The Grand Cross is with a sash from the right shoulder to the left hip and an eight-pointed breast star, on which rests the religious character, worn. Great officers and commanders carry the distinction of being neck Orders, Grand Officers in addition to a six-pointed breast star. Officer and Knight decorate the religious character to the band on the left side of the chest, where the officer on a rosette ribbon is still attached.

In special cases, the Grand Cross can also come with a Collar of the award ceremony.

The ribbon is white with wide red border strips.
