Oresmaux

Oresmaux ( Picard: Orémieu ) is a northern French village with 838 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens, is part of the Communauté de communes du canton de Conty, in the canton Conty.

Geography and Economics

The community on the plateau between the rivers Noye and Selle is located approximately 14 km south of Amiens and 10 kilometers northeast of Conty in the east of the department of road D1001 ( former Route nationale 1) running outside the municipal area Autoroute A16 and a partial stretch of the historic Chaussée Brunehaut at the department road D162.

Oresmaux owns a wind farm with an installed capacity of 12 MW.
