Oreti Beach

Oreti Beach is the middle of three bays on the Foveaux Strait on the south coast of the Southland region of the South Island of New Zealand. The other two bays are the Te Waewae Bay and the Bay Toetoes.

The bay is 26 km long and extends between Riverton and the mouth Aparima River in the north- west and the estuary of the Oreti River in the southeast.

The city of Invercargill lies Oreti River at 5km east of the bay. A small town of the same name located west of Invercargill on the coast of the bay.

The Oreti Beach is a station on the Southern Scenic Route.
