Organetto

Organetto is the common name of a diatonic accordion in Italy.

The design corresponds to the Wiener model substantially. There more tool types were soon built, which eventually led to the modern accordion production.

History and development of the accordion industry in Italy

The production began in the province of Ancona, as in 1863 the first " Accordion " - Paolo Soprani factory was founded. The built by Soprani diatonic instruments were first, later called ARMONIKA also Fisarmonika. Very soon Soprani was able to export instruments to France, since their producers had given up after the war of 1870 /71. 1876 ​​came Mariano Dalape in Stradella (south of Milan ) to do so.

Other instrument makers settled in the area from Castelfidardo to: Setmo Soprani, Cruchianelli, Moreschi, Pancotti, Dari e Picchietti, Borsini, balloons Burini, Ficosceco, Scandalli, Crosio, Frontalini, Busilacchio, Serinelli, Marinucci, Galanti, Castagnari etc. Some of these companies still exist today.

The production took a sharp upswing, it reached its peak in 1870 until 1900.
