Organization Studies (journal)

Organzization Studies (OS), abbreviation according to DIN 1502 ORS or organ Stud, is a peer- reviewtes, scientific journal for the publication of research results, theoretical considerations, reviews, and reviewing scientific reports in the field of organizational studies. The multidisciplinary magazine is published in cooperation with European Group for Organizational Studies ( EGOS ), whose co-founder David J. Hickson was also the first editor in chief ( 1980-1990 ) of the magazine.

2004, the frequency of publication was increased from 6 to 9 per year., 2005, the frequency was increased again and the magazine will appear monthly.

Editing

Chief editor of the OS is still a renowned scientist, the more co- editors are at your side. A group of senior editor takes the lead in scientific review, which is conducted by the Editorial Board.

Submitted papers will be checked for suitability for the Journal, about 44 % are immediately rejected because they do not fit the format of the journal or oppose the goals set. The others will be tested in a first review round. Approx. 2/3 of the tested papers are screened in this round. In a second round, almost half of the papers are excluded again, so that only about 11 % of the papers submitted will be published eventually. These papers will generally be published within the next six months.

Influence and impact of the journal

The influence of the journal will be assessed in the 2011 Journal Citation Reports ® by Thompson Reuters on rank 33 of 166 management journals. After the ISI Impact Factor, which is based on the number of cited articles from the two previous years in all articles published a year, the Journal of 2382 (2011) is out. As a result, libraries have relevant magazine in the stocks.
