Orie Solomon Ware

Orie Solomon Ware ( born May 11, 1882 in Peach Grove, Pendleton County, Kentucky, † December 16, 1974 in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky ) was an American politician. Between 1927 and 1929 he represented the state of Kentucky in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Orie goods first attended the public schools in Covington, where he had moved in 1888 with his parents. Then he studied until 1899 at a private school in Independence. He then worked in Covington for the local District Judge Shaw. After studying law at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio and its made ​​in 1903 admitted to the bar, he began practicing in this profession in Covington. Later he ran a common practice along with the now-retired Judge Shaw. Product increased also in the banking business and was a director of the First National Bank and Trust Co.

Ware was a member of the Democratic Party. Between 1910 and 1939 he was a delegate at all regional party conferences in Kentucky. Between 1914 and 1921 he served as postmaster in Covington. After that, he was from 1922 to 1927 Attorney in the 16th Judicial District of Kentucky. In the congressional elections of 1926, he was in the sixth electoral district of Kentucky in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of Arthur B. Rouse on March 4, 1927. Since he resigned in 1928 to run again, he was able to complete only one term in Congress until March 3, 1929.
