Orion (rocket)

Orion (or originally Hawk ) is the name of a small American sounding rocket. The Orion has a length of 5.60 meters, a diameter of 0.35 meters, a launch mass of 400 kg, a takeoff thrust of 7 kN and a maximum altitude of 85 kilometers. The powerplant is the rocket motor of disarmed Hawk anti-aircraft missiles use. The built by the manufacturer WFF Orion is also used as advanced level in other missile systems, such as the Nike - Orion, Taurus Orion, Improved Orion and Terrier - Orion combinations.
