Oris (magazine)

Oris is a Croatian architectural magazine. The publisher describes the magazine as ' Časopis za arhitekturu i Kulturu ' ( in German: ' magazine for architecture and culture ').

History

Oris published bi-monthly since 1998 and covers the media room of Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia- Herzegovina.

The lyrics are also written in English except in Croatian. The topics discussed cover the range of architectural issues. The projects represent an international cross-section, with an emphasis on works from the region. In addition to the architecture of the art are generally treated in a separate section of the magazine themes. For example, photography or art event, often with a representation of the relationships of these to architecture as understood conventionally. The entire advertising block is summarized at the beginning of each issue and thus does not disturb the flow of reading.

The publisher Arhitekst also organizes the annual Oris days. These are popular because they can be credited for prescribed by the Croatian Chamber of Architects continuing education in the architectural community in the region. This is a two day event with presentations by architects from the world.
