Örjan Wikander

Örjan Wikander ( born July 6, 1943 in Helsingborg) is a professor in the Department of Archaeology and Ancient History at the University of Lund. His research interests include water management in the ancient world with an emphasis on Roman water mills, art and inscriptions of the Etruscans and the relationships between the estates of the senators and Eques in the Roman Republic. He is the editor of the Handbook of Ancient Water Technology ( 2000). In 1989 he undertook archaeological research at Charles Mill in Mertesdorf.
