Orlando Mohorović

Orlando Mohorović (* 1950 in Labin) is a Croatian artist.

Biography

Mohorović in 1969 to Dusseldorf and studied Joseph Beuys know. The Admissions Committee of the department " Free Art " at the Art Academy Dusseldorf let him as a student in the class of Beuys. Orlando Mohorović studied from 1970 to 1974 painting and sculpture. In this time of New Realism paintings, concept art, sketches, small drawings and watercolors as templates for installations and performances.

In 1970 he had his first exhibition in the Beuys class in room 20 and in the hallway of the Düsseldorf Art Academy.

On 5 February 1974, he was appointed a master student in the class Beuys. Mohorović heard like many other German artists profiled ( Immendorff, Katharina Sieverding, Anselm Kiefer, Blinky Palermo, Sigmar Polke ) for the Beuys student group.
