Ornament (music)#Appoggiatura

Appoggiatura (it. "Proposal " ) denotes an ornament in instrumental and vocal music. It consists of one or more tones that are inserted between two melody notes (often the upper or lower second). The ornament can be done at the stroke of the main note and shortened them accordingly, or before the main note, and then shortens the preceding note.

Different types of appoggiatura - intonations example " guitar "

A Appogiatura is at the guitar as either sliding movement ( "Slide" ), as a pull -off or hammer-on ( " Legato playing style " ) or run as bending or release. From the typical notes that use guitar, the kind of appoggiatura emerges only rarely.
