Oro Solido

Oro Solido is a group of Dominican Merenguemusiker. They became a fixed term in the style merengue, some of their titles were used in film music and since 1995 the band's music is often played on radio stations of tropical music.

Career

Oro Solido is based in New York City. The group was founded in 1994 by Raúl Acosta, known as " El Presidente " was founded. In the same year, their debut album " Oro Solido " appeared. It was followed by hits such as "Ta Cache ," " La Tanguita Roja ", " Maria se Fue ," " El Baile del Beeper ", " Una Nalgadita " and "La Morena ", brought in to the group success. Oro Solido developed into the largest group of Latin music, prevailed on the English-language music market and won numerous awards such as Premio Estrella, Premio Premio Lo Nuestro and ACE. Oro Solido has regular appearances on Hispanic television stations, also on the Fox Five New York and the Jerry Lewis Telethon show. They performed five times at Madison Square Garden and other famous venues like the Universal City Amphitheater in Los Angeles, El Zócalo de Mexico, Estadio Modelo de Ecuador, El Monumento in the Dominican Republic and the Meadowlands in New Jersey. They had appearances with artists such as 50 Cent, LeAnn Rimes, Celia Cruz, Marc Anthony, Fat Joe, Johnny Ventura, Wilfrido Vargas, Tito Puente, El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, and The Temptations. Oro Solido is active in numerous social projects such as World Vision, March of Dimes, The Wheelchair Foundation, Health Plus, Verizon and the New York Commission of Domestic Violence. They have contracts with the Super Canal Caribe and have brought their own Oro Sólido Long Distance Phone Card on the market.

Raúl Acosta

Raúl Acosta ( born September 8, 1971 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) is derived au its family of musicians. Raúl played together with his brothers Iván and Rafael in the group "Los Sobrinos Del Rey ", which represented a Dominican version of the band Jackson 5. The three brothers had with their music and rose to success in several TV shows, such as " amaryllis con los Ninos ". 1980 the family emigrated to the United States Acosta. Without knowledge of English Raul moved to Jersey City and later to Union City, where the Hispanic-American population was more active. After graduating from high school Raúl Acosta busy with music and sound engineering in the local music store Kennedy's Music World.
