Oroluk Island

Oroluk (English Oroluk Iceland ) is the name of the only island of the same name Oroluk Atoll in the northwest of the Federated States of Micronesia ( Pohnpei member State (State) ).

The island, which has an oval ground plan and a land area of ​​13 hectares, in 1826 discovered by the French captain P. Saliz and originally named Ile de gordelaise. Later named the island from time to time also San Augustin and St. Augustine Iceland.

On today uninhabited island is only an automatic weather station.
