Oropom people

The Oropom (also Oropoi ) were a tribe in Karamoja in Uganda. They were assimilated into the past, to a large extent in the groups of Iteso and Karimojong who had immigrated later in this area. They lived in various places between the Kartwel River, the Chemorongit Mountains and Mount Elgon. According to reports, to their language, Oropom have been an isolated language.

They should have lived first near the Mount Moroto and his then migrated westward into the plane between Napak and Elgon, before being defeated in 1830 by the Karimojong and were scattered.
