Places is a municipality in the province of Viterbo in the Italian region Lazio, 8790 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012). It is located 79 km north of Rome.

History
The community dates back to a city of the Etruscans, who probably Hurta said. In Roman times, the city of Horta or Hortanum said. On the extinct bishopric of Hortanum the titular Hortanum goes back.

Dino Primeri (civic list Quadrifoglio ( four clover) ) was elected in June 2004 to the mayor and re-elected on June 8, 2009. His center-left alliance also with 11 of 16 seats, the majority in the City Council.
