Orust is an island off the west coast of Sweden in the province of Västra Götaland County and the historic province of Bohuslän. It lies north of the provincial capital of Gothenburg. After Gotland and Öland it is with an area of ​​345.5 km ² is the third largest island in Sweden. Along with several surrounding islands, it forms the 388 km ² large community Orust.
