OruxMaps

OruxMaps is one of Jose Vasquez developed for the Android operating system navigation program whose preferred use on mobile devices is geared to walkers, cyclists and sports boaters. The first version of the program appeared in 2009. Language versions are available in Spanish, English, French and German. According to the download statistics, more than a million users are accepted.

Functions

The program enables the representation of geographical maps on Android devices in two modes. The online presentation over a cellular network using a variety of maps from OpenStreetMap, OpenSeaMap, Google Maps, Microsoft Maps, Chart Bundle U.S., TopOSM USA, Multimap UK, etc. In addition, the use of locally stored on the device offline maps is possible if no wireless network available, or a cellular connection eg For cost reasons is not desirable.
