Orzowei is the title of a novel by Alberto Manzi from 1955, due thereto television series from 1977 as well as their title song.

Content

It's about an abandoned in the South African steppe white child growing up in a village of the Swazi. Because of his skin color, it is not accepted by all tribal members, who give him the name " Orzowei " ( waif ). His rival is Mesei, the chief's son. Orzowei hard Inititationsriten must survive and yet is not taken by the warriors of his tribe. He flees from his village and finds refuge with a tribe of Bushmen. This takes care of the way his Pao.

The TV series

The television series called Orzowei - White son of the little King is an Italian- German - Austrian co-production from 1977 and consists of 13 episodes. The sung by Oliver Onions title song of the same name in 1977 was a number -one hit in Germany.
