Orzubek Nazarov

Ursubek Nazarov (Russian Орзубек Пулетович Назаров; born August 30, 1966 in Kant, Kyrgyz SSR ) is a Kyrgyz politician of the Ak Dschol and former boxer. He is the Chairman of the Committee on sports, youth and gender issues of the Kyrgyz Parliament Zhogorku Kenesh.

Sports career

1982-1984 was Nazarov youth champion of the Soviet Union In 1984, Junior European Champion. In the adult area, he won as an amateur boxer in each flyweight tournament at the Goodwill Games in 1986, gold at the European Championships in 1987 and bronze at the 1986 World Cup, he also was 1985-1988 Soviet masters.

In the final phase of the Soviet Union was Nasarew professional in Japan, where he won the Japanese and ocean Championship at lightweight. From 1993 to 1998 he was the WBA lightweight world champion Wicht the professionals, after he had defeated the reigning world champion Dingaan Thobela in South Africa. This title he defended until 1998, six times before losing it in 1998 to Jean -Baptiste Mendy on points. Overall, he reached a professional record of 26 wins with only one defeat, after he finished his career.

Professional and policy

1999 Nasarew worked for the Kyrgyz Tax Police, 2000/ 01, he was Director of the Kyrgyz state lottery, then in private enterprises worked until he was elected to Parliament in 2007.
